Dr. Vijay Seshadri is a primary adult Psychiatrist working in a variety of medical settings, which includes primary mental health center to exclusive drug and alcohol rehab center and one of the largest multi specialty hospitals in the state.
After completing his MD-Psychiatry from Manipal University, he joined Care group of hospitals as Consultant Psychiatrist and helped in establishing the department of Psychiatry with a team of psychiatrists and clinical psychologists . He has been working in the evaluation and management of individuals with primary mental health issues, complex Neuro psychiatric problems and substance abuse disorders.
He has also been an active researcher in both community based and hospital based studies.
He has been a Co-investigator in "CRESSI"-one of the largest comprehensive studies on Epilepsy in a rural community in India, which helped in studying medical ,social and economic aspects of epilepsy and related services in the community, in India.
He has been a Principal and Co investigator in various Phase 3 multinational drug trials
He has presented a host of papers in both national and international forums.
He completed MBBS from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, Bangalore in 1991 and M.D. (Psychiatry) from Kasturba Medical College in 1999.
